New Auditor General is Appointed
Based on the order (3599), 16/10/1444, of Ameerul Mominin Sheikh Al-Quran Wal-Hadith Hibatullah Akhundzada, Honorable Mawlavi Muhammad Muhsin Hashmi was appointed as a new Auditor General Of the Supreme Audit Office of Afghanistan, and he was introduced to the SAO staff during a gathering, which was attended by the honorable Mawlavi Saifuddin Taib, Deputy for Supervision and Policy of the General Directorate of the Office of the Prime Minister, honorable Mawlavi Ezatullah Haqqani, (Deputy Auditor General of Financial and Compliance Audit), SAO Advisors, other Directors, and Auditors of the Supreme Audit Office.
The introduction ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, later on, honorable Mawlavi Noor Haider Saddar welcomed the audience and added: the Supreme Audit Office is an institution along with the other departments that works toward reforms and always tries to provide recommendations for corrections and preventions of deficiencies, mistakes, and shortcomings of Public Sector Entities’ works.
Honorable Mawlavi Saifuddin Taib recited the order of Ameerul Mominin regarding the appointment of the new AG, and he also asked the officials of SAO to cooperate with the new AG. He further said that the people and the land of Afghanistan have suffered a lot during the long war in the country, but with the grace of Almighty Allah, the Islamic Emirate is governing now and it is a good time to serve the people and this country. Honorable Mawlavi Taib added that the Supreme Audit Office of Afghanistan is a professional institution with specialized auditors, therefore, it is requested that they should behave and cooperate with the officials of other entities in a good manner, which will result in the acceptance of Almighty Allah, the people, and strengthening the system in Afghanistan.
The new AG, honorable Mawlavi Muhammad Muhsin Hashmi considered the victory of the Islamic Emirate as a divine victory and the result of the martyrs who fought against the Soviet and the NATO invasions of Afghanistan. He also added that protecting the system and Islamic values is our duty. The new AG also emphasized on following Islamic and prophetic morals, and the struggle to fight administrative and moral corruption. It is to be mentioned that Mawlavi Muhammad Muhsin Hashmi had been the Governor of Panjshir province before he was appointed a new AG.
