SAO officials held an audit coordination and Exit Meeting with the Attorney General’s Office of Afghanistan officials.

The officials of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) each, Mr. Mawlavi Mohammad Ghazi Jarir, the head of the foreign aids audit; Mr. Mohammad Nasim Sahar, the head of the audit of the governance and the rule of law sector, and the members of the audit team, with Mr. Alhaji Mawlavi Shah Mohammad Shahid, the financial and administrative deputy and other officials of that department. On Saturday, 8th of Qaws 1401 Hijri, according to 4 Jumadi Al-Awali 1444 AH, a meeting was held, and information was given to the audience about the importance and implementation of the audit process in offices to protect public funds, the hundred-year tradition of audit in Afghanistan, and accountability of public offices.
SAO officials emphasized the importance of audits to fix the defects and provide corrective orders to improve the performance of the government departments and asked the authorities to cooperate in the field.

Finally, Honorable Mawlavi Shah Mohammad Shahid expressed his satisfaction with the presence of officials and the performance of the Audit Team and considered the SAO to be a reforming and accountable institution in eliminating the deficiencies and shortcomings of the government departments.
