The Supreme Audit Office (SAO) Organized a special training Workshop for Auditors

In order to carry out the audit based on the interest of the stakeholders and ISSAIs standards, SAO considered it necessary to organize a special training workshop for all auditors in the second week of Hamal 1402 (last week of March 2023), before assigning the auditors to the entities for audit. 
The purpose of conducting this workshop is to share new topics and issues relating to audit and pointing out the existing gaps and errors in audit process especially in the audit reports and emphasizing to overcome the gaps and preventing mistakes in the audit reports in new assignments. 
Topics included in this workshop are, the introduction of new formats of audit plan and audit report, code of ethics, audit in Islamic perspective, introduction and explanation of the Decrees, Orders and directives of the of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and emphasis on considering them as criteria during the audit process, ways of following up the audit recommendations, time management, communication and other important matters relating to audit. Organizing such kind of workshop prepares the auditors to effectively conduct audits in public sector entities and the SAO ensures the conducting of quality audits in accordance with national and international standards and provides high-quality and comprehensive reports to relevant authorities and auditees.
